Job description

We are looking for candidates to join an American production company in its growing office in Warsaw on the position of Financial Controller - Operations.

In this role you will drive transparency on Cost of Sales and Other Cost of Sale performance and you will support the Operations and Service community (manufacturing, quality, purchasing, logistics and service) in managing the business and delivering results by providing operational and strategic analysis. The position will take responsibility for six production plants in EMEA region.

Selected duties:

  • Lead specific aspects of the finance operating cycle: COS, OCOS, inventory, DPO and CAPEX
  • Support senior management in driving the savings initiatives (COS and OCOS), track performance and report results periodically
  • Lead the budget process for Operations (COS, OCOS)
  • Review material accounting estimates
  • Provide Strategic Business Support to operations community
  • Provide support in M&A integration
Requirements
  • 5+ years operational accounting or financial analysis related experience in a global manufacturing environment or large public accounting or business consulting environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and business acumen
  • Fluent English, other European languages will be a plus (French, German)
  • Strong quantitative abilities, process oriented and attention to detail combined with ability to understand the bigger picture
  • Experience in a finance business partner role
  • SAP, Oracle, BW knowledge will be a strong asset
