For our client, prestigious global company, we are looking for candidates for position of: Controller Project Specialist

Main responsibilities:

  • You will primarily be responsible for managing project finances, including budgeting and forecasting, managing project schedules and monthly project controls
  • As a Finance Project Specialist you will have contact with colleagues from offices across the Firm. In some aspects you will cooperate with finance managers. In this role you will also work with project leadership to prepare robust financial budgets and forecasts as well as understand the financial implications and outcomes of project activities. Additionally you will perform ad hoc reporting and other analyses as requested by accounting managers, firm finance and audit departments.
  • You will primarily be responsible for managing project finances, including budgeting and forecasting, managing project schedules and monthly project controls
  • In this role, you will maintain compliance with our internal policies, use best practices and US GAAP, prepare financial analytics including monthly cost variance reviews & pricing analysis, and bill and collect payments for projects
  • Moreover, you will review client studies on a monthly basis, work to resolve balances, evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, build scenarios and recommend actions in line with global policies and best practices. You will also track the progress of project activities and milestones to enable appropriate project financial accounting for revenue recognition, cost recognition, billing and collection
Requirements
  • University degree in finance, accounting or business administration combined with sound knowledge in finance and accounting
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role and environment (e.g. project accountant, project finance controller) and/or experience in supporting management and leadership by providing insight, analysis and financial results for review
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office programs such as Excel
  • Excellent skills in solving problems, making decisions and resolving conflicts
  • Understanding of contractual and commercial aspects
  • Ability to communicate with various levels within an organization
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English; knowledge of any other language is a plus
