Service Desk, RIM and R&D for our global Customers and internal Fujitsu teams.
In 2013 Fujitsu extended their capabilities in GDC Łódź by launching the Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) area. Starting from now September 2013 we are becoming a member of the RIM network (together with the RIM GDCs in Russia, India and Philippines). To explain more, what does Fujitsu RIM provide, we can briefly state the following: Monitor, Operate, and Manage assistance for network, server, storage, databases, backup/recovery, active directory, file and print, middleware, application performance and intelligence. Our first project is related to the Server Monitoring Service (Managed Server & Storage Services, Availability & Performance) for the Nordic’s Region, which starts in October with a group of engineers which we plan to extend over the next year. The next steps, depending on upcoming business, Fujitsu RIM Łódź may expand through Managed Applications Services, Desktop Support or Managed Network & Security Services.
The extension of our services in Łódź entails also the introduction of Research & Development (R&D) area. How to best describe R&D activities in Fujitsu? Basically, this is a group of engineers: like developers, quality assurance engineers, architects, analysts and project managers, who are working on creating new software – either stand-alone applications or supporting Fujitsu’s existing hardware products or prototypes. The Go-live date for R&D in Łódź was set for September/October 2013. Our first aim is to build teams with a total of 50 Engineers: Developers and QAs. Our teams will collaborate with our colleagues from the Product Development Group (PDG) in Germany, dealing with PRIMERGY and ETERNUS CS worldwide Fujitsu products.
Our main objective is to help our customers learn about the value of IT technologies through consulting and contract management system. This global company specializes in designing, constructing and servicing of IT service systems for customers dealing with financial, telecommunications and retailing sectors as well as for governmental administration. Delivering systems for IT infrastructure management, desktop outsourcing, data center networking together with a full package of accompanying service, from technical consultations through application integration, deployment and management to service desk supplies and operations, are the strongest points of the company.
